Stan reveals full trailers for Wolf Creek series & No Activity remake

For this year’s Halloween, local streaming service Stan has unveiled something genuinely scary: the full trailer for the second season of Wolf Creek.

The six-episode season will premiere on Stan on December 15, and features John Jarratt reprising his role as Mick Taylor alongside a new cast led by Matt Day and Tess Haubrich. Creator Greg McLean returns to the series as director and showrunner.

In the new series, a group of international tourists stumble across an unexpected adventure when they meet Mick in the South Australian outback.

Stan also today released the full trailer for the American remake of its own award-winning comedy series No Activity. Australian actor Patrick Brammall returns to the series as Detective Hendy, alongside Saturday Night Live star Tim Meadows.

The series is produced in the US by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, who has a guest appearance in the show. McKay and Ferrell have brought in an impressive line-up of other guest stars, including Arturo Castro, J.K. Simmons, Amy Sedaris, Bridget Everett, Sunita Mani, and Jason Mantzoukas.

The first two episodes of No Activity will premiere on Stan on November 20, with new episodes released weekly on Mondays.

  1. I’m afraid I have t agree. Wolf Creek and Co have run their course. Enough is enough. John Jarratt is a good actor and all. Let him show more of his range. The first season was bad enough why do we need another?

  2. Bloody hell, I’m so over this cheap and easy, no brains required, paint-by-numbers sort of Australian show: the deranged but cunning outback killer. So desperately cliched. I can even hear the damn music in my head. Why does such tiresome tosh keep being remade? Are we incapable of writing and making anything new and interesting?
