FIRST LOOK: Julie Andrews’ production of My Fair Lady

My Fair Lady’s original Eliza Doolittle, Julie Andrews, has revealed the first look at her 60th anniversary production of the classic Lerner and Loewe musical. Andrews has stepped into the role of director for Opera Australia’s production, which recreates the original Broadway production, with original sets and costumes by Oliver Smith and Cecil Beaton.

The production stars Anna O’Byrne as Eliza, and English actor Alex Jennings as Henry Higgins. They’re supported by Robyn Nevin, Reg Livermore and Tony Llewellyn-Jones.

My Fair Lady is at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House until November 4, and then at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre from May 11
