Exclusive: Little Shop’s Big Talent – Esther Hannaford performs Colors of the Wind

| |

Esther Hannaford has been wowing audiences around Australia in the hit musical Little Shop of Horrors. Daily Review’s Ben Neutze described her performance as Audrey as “astonishing” saying “she takes flavours of what Ellen Greene did in the original production and the film and adds a slightly more Monroe-esque quality, nailing the comedy”.

The role has earned Hannaford a Helpmann Award nomination for Best Female Actor In A Musical, with Little Shop earning five nominations in total. (The awards will be announced on July 25 in Sydney.)

A feature of the show is its vibrant score, composed by musical legend Alan Menken who has scored classics such as Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas.

In this Daily Review exclusive Hannaford shares her stunning version of Menken’s Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas.
