Daily Review is proud to announce our next Masterclass (in Sydney and Melbourne) will feature performer and comedy writer Tania Lacy sharing the secrets of writing comedy for screen, stage and page.
Lacy is an accomplished comedy writer for TV, film, stage and also children’s books with her new kid’s title Tracy Lacy is Completely Coo-Coo Bananas to be published by Scholastic Australia in September.
Daily Review Masterclasses bring leaders in their creative fields together with readers who want to learn skills, techniques and approaches that can be applied to their own work – whether they are beginners or established.
Lacy famously came to prominence writing and performing sketches and character pieces on the ABC. In 1992 she wrote and toured her one-woman show, Tania Lacy – All Of Me which was short-listed for the coveted Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. Her other work includes writing for younger audiences in the cartoon series’ G2G and Sumo Mouse (Network Ten and ABC 3) . Lacy has a comedy series in development with Moody Street Productions and has written screenplays (including London Calling which is slated for production with director Dominic Minghella).
