Awards season: calling book designers!

| |

How do you catch a designer’s eye?
With clever propaganda, like this:

At the end of 2013 the Australian Publishers Association decided to give away the annual book design awards, which it had hosted for a venerable 61 years (making it the longest-running book design awards we know of). The designers themselves decided to form the Australian Book Designers Association (ABDA) and resusciate the awards, for Year 62. (With entry fees half that of previous years.)

All these posters are found at ABDA’s Pinterest with amusing designs Calling for Entries to this year’s awards.
Like this extremely sly design (by a female designer, of course):

So if you’re a book designer, go to ABDA’s submission page, and get cracking. Entries close 23 June. (Also, follow ABDA Facebook.)
Can’t you hear the drums beating?
