What an arts forum in the land of milk and honey looks like

The Federal Budget this week failed to mention the arts. That might be a good thing given anytime the Coalition government does say anything about the arts it usually means funding cuts. But in Victoria things could not be more different. Before its budget earlier last month, the Andrews government committed a further $115 million to the “creative industries” which it says is worth $22 billion to the state.

But what does that mean to actual artists?  Cartoonist David Blumenstein went to a “Creative Industries Engagement Forum” in Melbourne yesterday to engage.
