New digital works sought for ‘ACCA Open’

| |

The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art has put the call out for new digital works to be presented in August.

‘ACCA Open’ will see a panel of curators and artists select three artists or collaborations to be produced with the support of ACCA curators and presented through digital platforms.

ACCA is also offering an Artist and Production fee of up to $8,000 per project.

Artists of all backgrounds, career levels and practices can apply, senior curator Annika Kristensen says, with the only expectation being that the artwork can be presented on a digital platform.

“Given that this period of social distancing is counter to the way a gallery and artists usually work, we are looking to artists to present ideas that reflect these new ways of being, and to approach this brief with creativity and originality.”

Proposals are due by 5pm Friday, May 1.
